We had an Easter party with our playgroup friends today, and it was great fun! We colored eggs, played games, and ate a birthday cake that my friend Rebecca made for me. Have I ever mentioned how wonderful her tres leches cake is?? Oh my. Anyway! Here are some pics of our great day!

Gabi's prize creation. A while later Cloe and I talked about eggs representing new life. She said "like Jesus gives us!" We decided that Easter eggs are special because they are beautiful... in the same way that Jesus doesn't just give us life, but a more beautiful and meaningful life!
As is normal for rainy season, the afternoon shower went torrential on us. No, this isn't a river... it's just the road to our house!
We embraced the cozy rainy afternoon with a puzzle. How many daddys do princess puzzles with their girls?? Yeah, he's a keeper.

The rain is pretty cool, actually. It’s really grown on me, and I kinda love it now!
